Moore College

Sabra always loved drawing and began her art education at an early age. In middle school and high school, she was awarded a multiple scholarships to Moore College of Art in Philadelphia for Young Artist Workshops where she studied drawing and painting the human figure from live models. She also learned calligraphy, and started a modest sideline in certificates, wedding envelopes, and promotional posters.

Israel

While still in high school, Sabra entered the visual arts portion of the Israeli Programs Center Contest and was awarded an all expense-paid trip to Israel for twelve days. In Israel, she represented her high school at several pre-arranged events. The trip included hikes in the Negev desert, Passover in Jerusalem, stays at various kibbutzim, and tours of Masada and the Dead Sea.

Stanford

After graduating from high school, Sabra attended Stanford University to study pre-medicine and to learn photography, sculpture, and printing. She worked as a childcare provider for local families and taught at Bing Nursery which is world renowned for it's studies in early child development. She also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of the Penninsula in East Palo Alto, assisting the art director with the afterschool program through creation and teaching of a curriculum on tile mosaics.
